This 24" long pick up reacher with a forearm support is a unique lightweight, robust and wear resistant reacher, which combines a range of features that make it ideal for retrieving or reaching a wide variety of items in the home, garden or out shopping, and thus makes it an invaluable aid for those with a disability or the elderly.
Standard Features:
Forearm Support.
The forearm support attachment makes the Pick Up Reacher the ultimate reaching pick up tool. The support rests on the forearm and effectively counterbalances the reacher and the weight of the object being picked up, making this an almost effortless task
Locking Jaws. The jaws on this reacher can be locked in place around the item, once it has been retrieved, thus removing the requirement to maintain pressure on the trigger. Ideal for those with a weak grip or arthritic condition.
Twin Gripping Jaws. The jaws have sculptured liners which give an excellent grip when picking up a wide variety of sizes and shapes. The Pick Up Reacher is operated by a wire not a cord, eliminating fraying or stretching and giving it a longer life.
Magnetic Head. There is a magnet attached to the jaws which allows easy retrieval of pins, paper clips and other small metal items.
Trigger Design. The trigger is designed for user comfort and is large and roomy to allow use of all fingers. The short trigger distance is ideal for those with stiff joints, or arthritic conditions. The trigger projects through the top of the handle to allow it to be squeezed in the conventional manner, or pushed using the palm of the hand.
Rotatable Head/Stick Clip. The head can be easily rotated to suit individual tasks, thus making the reacher far more flexible. The Pick-Up is also supplied with a removable stick clip, allowing it to be clipped on to wheelchairs and walking frames etc
