The Birdie Folding Electric Hoist by Invacare® combines transportability, patient comfort, and ease of use, accommodating up to 150kg. Its innovative design offers a comfortable lift and transfer from beds, chairs, or even the floor.
Great product features:
- Long boom: Client can be easily rotated and positioned, and it reduces risk of injury to the lower limbs.
- Easy to fold: No tools required when folding or unfolding, making transport and storage simple.
- Snap lock: The lock snaps into place with a magnetic pin for extra security.
- Manual leg spread: Simply step on the pedal to adjust the leg spread.
- Clip on spreader bar: The spreader bar can be changed quickly.
Excellent movement range
Allowing a 360° range of movement even when the hoist is in the highest position, the Birdie® provides a very comfortable lift and transfer. This lets you easily rotate your patient in the hoist, making placement into the bed or wheelchair much easier for you.
By optimising space, the Birdie Folding Electric Hoist ensures your client's knees aren't too close to the actuator of the hoist and provides a very low risk of injury.
Electric hoist for simple and safe use
Part of our wide range of transfer aids, this electric hoist is simple to fold and unfold without tools, and it has a snap lock mechanism for added security and peace of mind. It doesn't need a lot of space to store and is much easier to transport, too.
With TÜV certification for maximum security, this hoist is CE certified in line with the Medical Device Directive 93/42/ECC. To ensure the hoists comply with EN ISO 10535, the hoists have been rigorously tested by Invacare and the German TÜV institute, an accredited external body.
Please note:
- Sling is not included and would need to be purchased separately.
- Before its first use the hoist must be assembled and commissioned by a competent person, to establish the assembly was correct and safe. Should you not have this facility please ensure the White Glove Service option above is selected.
- All patient lifting equipment needs to be LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) tested every 6 months.
